Yoga

Yoga is a large part of my life that gives me peace, confidence and strength. I want to share with you a few of my favorite Yoga poses.

This is the first step of a head stand

Full headstand

Above is "crow", a lot of core strength is used to pivot your weight from head to tail. This one is great for your ego, I feel strong and awesome after this pose.

A variation a "Crow" is to take your torso and legs to the side or your arms rather than in front and behind your arms.

"Cow face" is used to open the hips and stretch the large muscle that runs from your lower back, down your bum, and to your thigh.

This one I enjoy how pretty and graceful it looks. It is a variation of "dancers" pose.

"Bow" pose is similar to "dancers" pose above, just take my leg and torso parallel to the floor. It is called "Bow" pose because it looks like you could use my arm and leg as the sting of a bow and my torso as the curved front of the bow.

"Eagle" pose is great at warming up my thighs; the crouched position over one leg really works the standing leg. It takes balance, strength and grace to get into the pose.

I really do love all that Yoga has to offer. I think Yoga will always have some role in my life.
